Apex
Apex's work is crazy, like in so many different ways. He manages to get so many things together in one piece that my mind is blown. Apex (b. 1978, San Francisco, CA) is an extremely good mural artist, and by looking through his work you'll see he works a lot in bright block colours, and creates shapes that are so twisted and sharp, yet have so much flow at the same time. A lot of the work that I have seen is of these almost intertwining shapes that overlap and move around the wall, and I look at this work and can't even think how Apex doesn't disconnect any of these lines. They all flow, no line stops randomly, and in the same way no line begins randomly. As for the colours, well you can see for yourself, they stand out, they can be calm blues to practically neon green, but either way they stick out in the greatest way. Apex has a website that you need to check out, it has his murals, paintings, close ups and sculptures (yeah... he does sculptures too) and the address for that is: http://theapexer.com/murals/ He has also started his own youtube channel showcasing him doing his work, and its amazing to see how he builds up from the outline to the finished piece. Link to that is here: http://www.youtube.com/user/APEXERLABS Anyway here's some pictures of Apex's work, please check out this amazing work and let me know your thought's in the comments.

Sofles & Does
Been a Long time since I last posted, I have had a manic past month, had stitches in, started university (graphic design & typography for all that are interested) and just really struggled to find time to start posting again. However I've now got a schedule, every monday around 7:00pmish I'm going to post, no matter if I'm knee deep in work or any excuse like that, I will have new content loaded up for you lot to see.
Anyway moving onto what you're actually here to see, the graffiti. Very Very recently Ironlak (leading Australian spray paint company) have released a new Sofles video. My brain exploded, this video is ridiculous. Like next level ridiculous. It features Selina Miles, drapl, fintan magee and butchdaddy, and all these artists collaborating together in a huge warehouse has made a video that blows all other graffiti videos out of the water. It's great to see so many styles of graff working together in a video, and to see what sort of scale these artist's work on. But you have to check the video on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pv-Do30-P8A You'll get a nice high quality version on there, but i'll also load up a copy onto here, it might be bad quality, but for some reason blogger loves changing the quality of the videos.
The second video on Spray Up is of Does, the name of the video on youtube is literally 'DOES does warehouse', and he does do the warehouse, and all the detail and work gone into the piece makes it out of hand. Again this video is from Ironlak, and I don't know what it is about this company, but every artists that features in their videos are so unbelievably talented. In this video you have just Does on his own tagging his name, but the way he does it, how he manages to get it so 3D that it looks like its popping out the wall and the use of colour on top of this makes an amazing video. Please check it out on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgbzS2ThjP4 but again there is a video on here to see if you don't mind the low quality
