ARLIN

If you're into your graphic design, You'll love ARLIN. This Portuguese artist has spent most of his life as a graphic designer, and started his work in graffiti around the year 2000. You can see the influence graphic design has on his work, you have these crazy uses of angles that look unbelievable on the wall. All of the work is so sharp and vibrant with colour, that it a looks like it could be photoshopped or created via computer!

In addition to his graffiti work he does a lot of painting and vector drawings that are just as amazing as his graff work. His vector drawings are to the highest quality, and his bird work shown at the bottom just proves how much ARLIN is capable of. Definitely check this guy out if you can, he has a lot of work, in design and graffiti on: http://cargocollective.com/arlingraff and also Instagram: arlin_graff.

Artista

Holy Moses I've been slack lately, Haven't posted in what feels like years! However, I'm not gonna moan about my lack of posting and just get straight to the point.

With works giving the grey dreary streets of London some colour and pop, Artista is hard to be unnoticed. She's not a newcomer to the whole art world, seeing as she was winning awards at the age of four, and having designs printed on Christmas Cards. So yeah, she's been killing it for quite some time. In recent times she's been doing work for places such as The Tate Modern, Twitter UK, Starbucks, The list just goes on! And on top of all of this, she still manages to fit in some bangin' Murals. Now I can barely post once a week, so when Artista crams all of this into her life, well it just puts me to shame.

Moving onto the Murals and Street Work. It's amazing, it's colourful and it's playful. She has a variety of textures and block bold colours that just create such an impact on the wall. You just have to look at her work to see what I mean, It's just stunning. Check out her website as soon as you can: http://www.kayleighdoughty.co.uk and if you want a her instagram just search for: its_artista.

TML Stars

Happy New Year! Hope you had all the festivities this December. It's yet again been a long time since I last posted, which is sad I know, but with the New Year hopefully I should be able to keep to my Monday posting schedule.

In the new year I'm going to talk a bit about TML Stars. Now I have small knowledge on who TML stars are, I haven't really seen any interviews or background info. All I know is that they do work in London, due to the fact I was visiting the lovely Shoreditch once again. It was by pure chance that I saw the work, and if I was you I wouldn't go down there to hunt for it because the work I saw has probably been sprayed over.

The work I've seen normally features an owl/bird like character using thick black lines with either a white background or a few different colours incorporated. It's got a really unique style to it that makes it really easy to recognise as a TML Stars piece. However TML stars pieces stretch further than just their owl characters. When looking on their flickr and on the Graffiti Life Gallery website I saw a much wider variety of their work. Portraiture featured quite a bit in a lot of their work, and even some word work was there. It's amazing to see such a variety of work, and to be able to see it in real life. The closest thing to a constant update of their work is either their Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tmlstars/ or their Instagram which features the bird character a lot: @tmlstars
